SLE Preview: Tribute

One of 5 previews of the upcoming set; The Solar Empire (SLE) the second set in the Equestria at War block.

All the mechanics from EAW have a number of specific design requirements. Tribute must be oriented around the graveyard and the hand, and be synergetic with all the other mechanics in the block that share a colour; Soulburn, Foresight, Surge, Replenish, Grave rites and Spirit Renew. Tribute actually didn't take too long to come up with. The concept is fairly straightforward and has a lot manoeuvrability. Overall, tribute is one of my favorite mechanics in the set.

As the rarities of cards with tribute increase, the usage of tribute becomes more and more complex. At common, as you can see, the effects of tribute is a lot more obvious, however the higher rarities will require more complex plays. This method works well for newer players, as they can easily understand the commons they will be playing more often. And the higher rarity cards will be able to show them the depth of the keyword and the possibility it holds.

The card you see here is still subject to change. Although this is currently the finished version, it may still end up being changed or completely removed, depending on any issues that it may cause in the long run.
